These are some pictures of my
favorite ride. My 1988 Kawasaki Vulcan 750.
This is my 1988 Kawasaki Vulcan 750A. It is without a doubt one of the greatest bikes I
have ever owned. While most of my other bikes have been racing style bikes, this was my
first Cruiser. It is generally more comfortable to ride, and relaxing even over long
trips.
This bike puts out over 50 hp and weighs in at 483lbs. Its has a liquid cooled 750cc
V-Twin engine with a shaft drive system. Shafties give a much quieter ride and smoother
distribution of torque than chain drive bikes. Even though this Vulcan is over 10 years
old, it still looks like it is practically new. I have to admit that I enjoy maintaining
it almost as much as I enjoy riding it.
This bike is mostly stock. I have aftermarket leather grips, Fire & Steel Engine
Guard, and Willie & Max small slant saddle bags. I also have the Fire & Steel
Sissy Bar, but I haven't put it on yet. This summer, I plan to install Vance & Hines
Pipes, and Highway Hawk air filter covers.
